Connecting, preserving, and empowering the Afghan diaspora community across California’s Central Valley — from Modesto and Stockton to Fresno and surrounding communities.
The Modesto & Central Valley Chapter of Gurbat Cultural Association serves Afghan diaspora communities across California’s Central Valley — a region home to a vibrant, growing Afghan population in cities from Modesto and Stockton to Fresno and Turlock.
The Modesto and Central Valley chapter was led by Eng. Mahmood Ahmadi. In 2025, the association held elections and elected Feda Mohammad Aminzai as the new leader to lead the chapter organization and represent the organization in the Gurbat General Body meetings.
